On the 5th of November, we had a celebration of my dad's 61st birthday. My 2nd sister recommended going to Paradise Dynasty at ION.
When we were sitted inside the restaurant, the server immediately informed us of the 1 an half hour of dining time. We were shocked and utter with words. This is the 1st time that someone told us there's dining schedule fixed by the restaurant. We had to look through the menu and ordered the food within 10 mins so we will have the time to slowly enjoy our food.
So these are what we ordered...
the front page of the menu
the simple setting
the very pathetic ginger for the Xiao Long Bao
One of the best... Sour & Spicy La Mian
Pork Slice La Mian
The Original Xiao Long Bao
(Not that fantastic as compared to the food review)
Pretty disappointed
Their 8 wonders Xiao Long Bao
Their skin has different taste
"Hong Yu Chao Shou" Spicy Dumplings. Nice cos spicy enough
Vege is well stir-fried.
One of the disappointment. Shanghai Sheng Jian Bao. Its cold when its served.
Take a peek in it. The skin too thick.. Not much fillings.. No gravy in it....
Not a kind of Shanghai Sheng Jian Bao that i'm looking for.
Stir-fried Nian Gao. This is one of the best.
Stir-fried La Mian. It was cold when served.. Disappointment
Jiu Nia Wan Zi. A Shanghai Dessert. Another disappointment.
Experience with Paradise Dynasty
Experience with Paradize Dynasty isn't that great, maybe due to the shortage of manpower. The 1.5hr of dining schedule that we need to stick to really shocked us. We got to try to leave that place within 1.5hr which includes ordering of food, waiting for the food to be served and cake cutting session.
Some of the food served are already cold but we want to stick to the 1.5hrs so we just continue with it.
The Shanghai Dessert, I've asked the waitress to serve me the dessert, waited for 15 mins, it wasn't serve yet and she's standing behind me dazing until I asked her the 2nd time, then it was served within 5 mins.
If I ever visit there again, I will only order the La Mian with soup.
